As part of LRTA’s continuing efforts to strengthen and further develop the competencies of its employees, the Light Rail Transit Authority, successfully conducted the 2nd Session Refresher Course for Train Operations Division Personnel on March 16-19, 2026 at the TOD Conference Room, Antipolo Station which was attended by eighty-eight (88) TOD personnel.

The training focused on key areas of train preparation, safety during train driving, and operational concerns to ensure safe and efficient operations. Emphasis was placed on proper visual inspections, operational testing, and driver’s console verification, as well as accurate fault reporting and adherence to safety communication protocols.

Participants were also reminded of critical safety practices, including immediate incident reporting to the Operations Control Center (OCC), proper readback of instructions, and strict observance of emergency safety measures, prioritizing passenger safety at all times.

This bi-monthly (six times a year) refresher course for Train Drivers and Line Dispatchers supports LRTA’s commitment to continuous improvement and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
