In celebration of National Solo Parents’ Day, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) will provide free rides to all solo parent passengers of LRT Line 2 on April 18, 2026.

The free ride will be available from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

This initiative is in recognition of the dedication, resilience, and sacrifices of solo parents who serve as pillars of their families. 

It also aims to ease the daily transportation expenses of solo parents, particularly those who are the primary breadwinners.

“Through this initiative, the LRTA reaffirms its commitment to support and recognize the invaluable contributions of solo parents to society. We hope that this program, even in a small way, helps alleviate their daily burdens,” said LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando Cabrera.

All qualified solo parents are encouraged to avail themselves of this benefit by presenting a valid Solo Parent Identification Card at any LRT-2 station.
