The LRT Line 1 Track Maintenance and Ballast Renewal Project

  

 
n Description

 

 

 

The scope of works for this project involved the supply of all labor, materials and equipment for the following:

  • excavation, sieving, and cleaning of existing ballast

  • disposal of waste ballast

  • supply/installation of additional ballast in accordance with specifications

  • upgrading of ballast structure

  • identification/replacement of damaged concrete sleepers

  • lifting, lining, and tamping of upgraded mainline track

  • identification/repair of drainage problems

  • restoration of water proofing and asphalt layer pavement

  • identification/replacement of damaged timber turnout sleepers

  • installation of rail pads

  • repair of cracked structures by epoxy injection

  • joint sealing of structure gap
