Brief Description of the Project

The Project involves the construction of a 5.7-km. elevated line seamlessly from Monumento Station of Line 1 to North Avenue Station of Line 3, with three (3) new stations namely: Balintawak, Roosevelt and a Common Station.  An additional station (Malvar Station) in Caloocan City shall, likewise, be constructed.

      (Revised Project Cost includes cost of construction of Common Station, and the proposed Malvar Station and additional one (1) unit rolling stock)

  • The Loop will be closed by December 2011
  • Commercial Operation of Balintawak Station commenced on March 22, 2010
  • Opening/operation of the Roosevelt Station is targeted by the 4th quarter of 2010

  • Construction of common station will commence in the 1st quarter of 2011 and will be completed by 1st quarter of 2012

On Additional Station (Malvar Station)

  • The Feasibility Study is completed.
