Line 1 Resumes Full Operation After Suicide Incident

The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) Line 1 has resumed its full operations from Baclaran to Roosevelt Station and vice versa after a suicide incident that happened at EDSA station this morning.

Engr. Emerson L. Benitez, Officer-in-Charge, said that LRT-Line 1 had to limit its operations from Vito Cruz to Roosevelt Station (Northbound) and Roosevelt to Gil Puyat (Southbound) for more than 3 hours following the investigation and clearing operations conducted by the Pasay City Police Homicide Section and the Southern Police District - Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) at the area where the incident happened.

The unidentified victim jumped onto tracks at EDSA station at around 5:50 am. However no identification was found except for a 29-peso coin and her LRT ticket.

The woman who committed suicide was wearing gray T-shirt and skinny blue jeans was picked-up by Crystal Funeral Homes in Libertad, Pasay City.
