The Light Rail Transit
Authority (LRTA) unveiled the LRTA commemorative stamps during its 30th
Anniversary Celebration on July 12, 2010. With the theme “Trenta Anyos,
Serbisyong Ayos!”, the stamps depict the different LRTA trains that
facilitate the delivery of quality rail transport services throughout the
years.
Hovering above the
streets of Metro Manila, the LRTA trains help minimize pollution, afford
commuters a faster way of getting to their destinations, and lessen the heat
and discomfort of traveling back and forth in different directions. Each and
every LRTA train carries, not only passengers, but hopes, dreams,
aspirations -- a future of possibilities for Filipino men, women, students,
workers, employees, entrepreneurs, and families. With this responsibility,
the Filipino people can count on LRTA.
Over the years, the LRTA
has consistently enhanced its services, has implemented innovations and
flagship projects, and has been closely monitoring its performance to ensure
the public with fast, safe, reliable and responsive rail transit services.
More than that, the LRTA
continues to extend quality service in other ways that may benefit
Filipinos. It has partnered with other organizations and institutions to
bring about socio-cultural projects that promote and develop different
aspects of the Filipino lifestyle: health, tourism, sports, visual arts,
performing arts, and literature. With these, the LRTA has become a vehicle
for public awareness and enrichment, satisfying not only the basic needs for
transport but, above all, striving for a better quality of life for
Filipinos.
