Lawyer Rafael S. Rodriguez, former
Managing Partner of the Rodriguez De los Santos and Naidas Law Offices
assumed office on Monday, August 16, 2010 as Administrator of the Light Rail
Transit Authority (LRTA).
Outgoing Administrator Melquiades A. Robles
turned-over the post and management of the Authority to Rodriguez during the
flag ceremony at the LRT Line 1 depot in Pasay City.

LRTA unveils 30th
Anniversary Commemorative Stamps
The Light Rail
Transit Authority (LRTA) unveiled the LRTA
commemorative stamps during its 30th Anniversary
Celebration on July 12, 2010. With the theme
"Trenta Anyos, Serbisyong Ayos!", the stamps
depict the different LRTA trains that facilitate
the delivery of quality rail transport services
throughout the years.

Rails challenge on July 10, 2010, as one of its
30th Anniversary highlights.
The Amazing
Rails consist of endurance and speed challenges,
which will combine two eco-friendly modes of
transportation ? the train and the folding bike
? as a mode of moving through the series of
control points in the race.

LRT2 Sets New All Time
High
The Light Rail Transit Authority announced today
that its Recto-Santolan (Line2) System has
reached its highest daily ridership since its
first commercial operation in 2003.

Administrator Melquiades Robles said around 249,
085 passengers took the LRT Line 2 train last
Friday (July 2), which was 3.3% higher than its
previous record of 241,125 set in December 4,
2009.
